WHAT I EAT IN JAPAN | MENU 1

     I love watching `What I Eat in a Day` videos on Youtube so I decided to start my own series on my own channel, Lovelyzkelly. I`m allergic to nuts, therefore, all of these recipes will be nut free and healthy. I`m always looking for something to cook that doesn't contain nuts. Nut absent recipes have definitely been a challenge when it comes to staying fit. I`m also always looking for videos that aren`t vegan. The vegan lifestyle is just not my thing but feel free to substitute what you like with these recipes!

 

    The recipes go in order from breakfast to dinner. If you try any of these recipes #lovelyzkelly and let me know what you think!

 

BASIC OATMEAL

 

Ingredients

 

-1 cup of fruit of choice (bananas, blueberries, etc.)

-tbsp chi seeds

- 1 cup oats

- 1 1/2 ~ 2 cups skim milk or water

- 1/2 ~ 1 cup apples

- cinnamon

 

Instructions

 

- chop up the fruit and prep 1 cup of milk or water

 

- pour the oats in a pot and the milk or water

 

- let the oats bowl for about 2 minutes

 

- add in your cinnamon (as much as you like)

 

- add in a tablespoon of chia seeds and let it soak in the milk & oats for a minute

 

- dump in your apples and let it simmer with the oats until you get it to your desired texture

 

- pour in your fruit after another 2 minutes and mix it all together

 

- cook on the stove until some of the milk or water has been absorbed and the oats look fluffy

 

 

 

 

TACO SALAD

 

Ingredients

 

- 1 cup canned corn

- 1 cup chopped tomato

- 1/2 cup kidney or black beans

-2 tbsp salsa

- 1/3 avocado

- mixed lettuce leaves

- ground meat (chicken)

- 1 packet taco seasoning

- nacho chips 

 

Instructions

 

- chop up the vegetables and prepare ingredients

 

- add some oil to a pan and dump in your ground meat

 

- break up the meat and let it cook until it`s brown

 

- add in your taco seasoning plus a dash of water

 

- assemble your salad the way you like it

 

- crunch up some nacho chips to use as a topping

 

 

BLACK BEAN ZUCCHINI PASTA

 

Ingredients

 

- 1 cup black beans

- 1 cup chopped zucchini

- 10 chopped cherry tomatos

-1 tbsp tomato paste 

- fresh rosemary

- 1/2 cup white mushrooms

- 1 cup pasta

- black pepper

- pink salt 

- dried parsley

 

Instructions

 

- chop up the vegetables and prepare ingredients

 

- boil pasta of your choice

 

- add some oil to a pan and add in your vegetables

 

- once they get soft add in your rosemary and tomato paste

 

- throw in your black beans and mix well

 

- mix it together until it looks like a thick sauce

 

- mix in 1 cup of pasta
