Dating is hard. Especially when you live a busy life on the other side of the world.

Since my move to Japan, I’ve been on so many dates using dating apps as my main way to meet men. I have to say, I've become a pro at this by now.

I’m not saying I don’t enjoy meeting people naturally in this beautiful country but the chances of that happening are slim to none with my intense job, making time for friends, and more importantly, ti...

Growing up, I had dreams to live in Japan. Every day of my life I spent mentally preparing myself for that day. In high school I took Japanese classes and read up on all the cool things you could do there.

One day, I applied to study abroad for two weeks in the south of Japan. Everyone got to go except for me and a girl with diabetes. Despite being told that I could go, even with my severe allergy, the teacher who ran the progr...

A couple of years back, I had the privilege of working in a Japanese office. I worked at BOE (Board of Education) office in Aomori, Hirosaki. Japanese office culture was definitely not a walk in the park.  Where I worked, I had a stricter dress code and times to do certain things like eat a snack or go to the bathroom.

Being American, I prefer American offices but this experience was a one of a kind experience.

Here are som...

I remember learning about Lolita fashion when I was young. In Jr. high school my friend brought a Japanese fashion book to class filled with professional pictures of girls that dressed up in doll-like clothing. I learned this style had a name: “Gothic Lolita Fashion." It was intriguing to me- the lifestyle of a Harajuku Lolita girl. Their expression through fashion was something that was next level.

This type of Lolita fashion...

It's that time of year again - the runny nose, itchy eyes, and dry cough season. If you're  planning on traveling or moving to Japan somewhere between March to the end of May then be ready for some possible changes to your system.

With the blossoming of flowers and pollen floating in the air, you'll be in for a rude awakening.

Its rumored that living in Japan for a certain amount of time will allow your body to adjust to certain...

I`ve lived in Japan for almost five years and dating has been a struggle – especially for a foreign woman. I had my fair share of dating Japanese men but over time realized they aren`t for me. I`m more attracted to the tall, dark, handsome, and creative type. I like someone I can connect with on an emotional level with less misunderstandings.

I do realize there are plenty of people out there who are wanting a guide to...

For some of you who have followed me on my YouTube channel, you know that I`ve suffered from anxiety all my life. I was diagnosed with GAD (Generalized Anxiety Disorder). Anxiety is a heaviness on the mind as if something isn’t quite right when in reality, everything is fine. The wheels in my brain are constantly spinning and on an endless mission for something to overthink or worry about. I get distracted and have a hard time...

Don`t be a Logan Paul. For those of you who don`t know who that is: Google is your best friend. In short, he`s basically a well known vlogger who wreaked havoc in Japan, disrespecting the culture, and recording a dead body in a Japanese forest.

Although I`m sure most decent minded people wouldn`t resort to causing this much trouble, I have seen my fair share of disrespectful foreigners throughout my time living here....

Finding a good job in Japan is challenging and avoiding a bad one is worse. I`ve had my fair share of crappy jobs during my time here in Japan. So, I`m here to give you advice on what you can do if you ever fall into an unfortunate situation like my own.

I was lucky. I had my ticket paid for as I took off into the setting sun, sipping on wine, knowing I had a secure job ahead of me. Working in Japan w...
